2024年12月30日 · Im not someone with years of expertise and experience with Linux, but Im capable of doing quite a bit with the OS and using the terimnal isnt a problem. Mint doesnt have exactly what I would like, such as KDE desktop with support - it is available on Mint but it has not been supported for years.

2021年2月15日 · To download Linux onto a USB stick SO THAT THE USB STICK WILL BE BOOTABLE ON ANOTHER PC.....you will need to use an app/program something like Rufus or Balena to ‘burn’ the iso file to the usb stick. (It may be a good idea to verify the download etc.. you will likely find instructions on the download page for the Linux download)

2019年11月10日 · If you can teach your wife the steps, or make a checklist to follow, then any of these tools will work, as well as Gparted or the fdisk included with any bootable Linux distro. For speed, I would boot on the smallest, fastest Linux USB I could make, run fdisk -l in a terminal to identify all drives/partitions, and fdisk/delete as needed.

2023年8月5日 · I am trying to make my first Linux installation, but when trying to create a bootable USB stick with Etcher, Etcher keeps complaining that it cannot open the iso file. I did try it with the Ubunto iso and the Mint iso. The Mint iso, I even made an integrity check with and authenticated it. Can anyone help? Rainer (German) p.s.:

2021年1月16日 · The only restriction to the number and size of the files that will fit on that USB stick is the size of the USB stick itself. A 4gb or 8 gb stick is usually used for a Linux Mint distro.....and that leaves a lot of room.....if you want overkill use a 16gb or a 32gb
