Those with Intel Arc GPU's, what is your opinion on them?
I think it’s the best looking GPU on the market and while it does have some coil whine and chew a bit more power than competitors it works absolutely fine now. While it’s not the best GPU I own, it is my favourite. Seeing it evolve every few weeks is part of the charm. I truly hope Intel stays the course here as the market needs competition.

2022年3月30日 · So all you need is a motherboard that has a PCIe slot for the GPU. (I noted the backwards and forwards compatibility because if you get like a PCIe 4 motherboard but a PCIe 3 GPU, those will still work. Way back in the day you could have a Intel CPU, a Nvidia chip on the motherboard(for the south bridge), then a AMD GPU.

As such, there is a display switch between the output devices and the 2 GPUs that can only switch by rebooting the laptop.

2022年10月12日 · GPU benchmarks online show way higher scores than the Intel integrated graphics. Whether they can handle more transcodes is unknown, but seems promising. If it can keep up, I'd consider it over an Nvidia because of Nvidia's shitty linux drivers and artificial transcode limitations.

The image has all of the drivers and libraries needed to run the FastChat tools with local models. The image could use a little work but it is functional at this point. 2023年7月7日 · The difference comes in the actual capability of the GPU. Most Intel stuff is integrated into the CPU and isn't as powerful as even a 10 year old AMD graphics card. (Intel have started to release discrete graphics cards too with Arc series but it's still early days for those)

I got regular gpu passthrough Alder Lake to work with linux by adding "intel_pstate=disabled" to grub config. Oddly enough sound doesn't passthrough though. I could have swore that I got that to work a while back but can't remember what I did. Just tested it with Windows 11 and it does show up in device manager but hdmi output doesn't work.

2023年11月25日 · It should say in Task Manager on the GPU section in the performance tab (2nd tab) and it should be located all the way to the bottom right. It's possible your Laptop let's you change the amount of video RAM (vRAM) that's allocated on your iGPU through the BIOS menu.
