One of the best things I've found so far is change the power plan to Balanced, which will give you a power slider on the battery icon, and as Shaw231 said, setting it to best battery life. Even still, discharge rate is around 20-50W constantly.

2021年8月22日 · There's a major difference between an i5 in an XPS 9310 that draws 12W, and an i5 in an XPS 9500/10 that draws 35W. And if you add the power draw of a discrete GPU and then toss in a 3-cell battery, you're in for short battery runtimes.

I can't seem to get over 3 and a half hours on a charge even at lowest brightness while editing a google doc. BatteryBar shows it constantly at 15w to 25w of battery use and I think that's pretty high considering one chrome tab is all I have open.

The laptop should have been shipped with battery health of excellent (95-100% capacity) . I would first check the battery health from ePSA diagnostic/bios .

2022年4月23日 · I'm almost always plugged in all the time and the trick for it's longevity has been to set it's max charge to 70% with charge starting from 50% using Dell Power Manager, also trying to not deep discharge it, or at least recharge it as soon as possible (leaving a li-ion battery at about zero charge for a few weeks destroys it).
