The San Francisco 49ers have noted that they want Brock Purdy as their quarterback for the future. However, no extension is in place and a change of scenery could be on the horizon.

The 49ers have streamlined their roster and finances with the aim of extending Brock Purdy. Now all he’s got to do is win a Super Bowl.

Of the 25 names released by the NFL who cashed in, Purdy came in at No. 16 and he wasn’t even the highest 49er player on the list. That went to rookie guard Dominick Puni, who received $898,036 after playing all but one snap in 17 games after being a third-round draft pick out of Kansas.

As Brock Purdy continues to wait for a lucrative long-term contract extension from the San Francisco 49ers, his financial portfolio did get a little bit stronger thanks to his performance from the 2024 season.
