Bucs bring back favorite target of Baker Mayfield on one-year deal
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are running it back with a favorite target of Baker Mayfield's, going all the way back to their college days at Oklahoma. The Bucs are bringing back wide receiver Sterling Shepard on a one-year deal after he joined the team initially in 2024.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to re-sign receiver Chris Godwin, and the deal was a rather affordable one too.
Baker Mayfield finished his collegiate career with 14,607 passing yards, 131 touchdowns, and 30 INTs. He dominated the 2017 season with 4,627 passing yards, a completion rate of 70.
The Buccaneers have their starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield and now the team has secured its backup QB as well.
