Now, as Matt Rhule enters Year 3 in Lincoln, changes are coming to Rhule's staff -- which already has experienced changes atop the offensive hierarchy. Sources directly tell FootballScoop that Rhule has parted with Ed Foley, the Cornhuskers special teams coordinator.

In Foley’s first two years as coordinator, Nebraska finished 91 st and 111 th in special teams efficiency, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index ratings. Since 2019, NU has had just one finish in the nation’s top half, in 2022, when Bill Busch was a one-year special teams coordinator.
